► Wales National Pool

The All Wales National Pool is a partnership project beternn Swansea University, the City and County of Swansea and the Sports Council for Wales.

Wales National Pool Swansea has sought to provide not only the sole 50m pool in Wales but also a sustainable aquatic structure, which will offer unrivalled opportunities for any potential or competent aquatic athlete.

This structure has been developed for a broad range of potential uses and affords a solid framework for the future of Welsh aquatic sport. A full range of support services such as top-level coaching, sports science and physiotherapy services will sit alongside state-of-the-art facilities providing comprehensive services for certain aquatic disciplines and support for others.

In summary the Wales National Pool Aquatic Development Scheme aspires to provide a structure that caters for coaches, students, University staff, CCS staff and the general public, but to also assist in the process of developing future aquatic champions for Wales and the UK.

 Facilities

Wales National Pool has the following aquatic facilities and generic associated training facilities:-

50m 8 lane, deep-water (2m) swimming pool equipped with moveable floor and boom.
25m swimming pool equipped with associated aquatic equipment.
Lecture/meeting rooms with business and conferencing facilities.
Sport Shop
Multi Purpose Room
Sports Science Facility
