You saw the success of team GB in Beijing and you were captivated by the performance of the Rowers, most notably the mens 4. Well now you too can have a go at one of the fastest growing and most popular university sports.

The University Rowing Club caters for most standards and abilities of rowing, from complete novice to people who have rowed for years. The club was reinstated in 2004, so it is not as up to date as many university rowing clubs, however with the comitment, dedication and enthusiasm of all the members the club continues to grow year on year. We focus on getting people out and onto the water as soon and as often as possible.
We try to enter as many competitions as is reasonably possible, including BUCS head and BUCS regatta in Nottingham, Cardiff small boats head and sometimes even as far afield as London.
We generally train on the water twice a week, on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings (although for racing crews, extra sessions are slotted in around people's availability), and we have a circuits session on Thursday evenings.
Our club is friendly and welcoming and we always welcome new members!
