Swansea Uni RFC has a long proud tradition and has helped produce some of Wales' best talent, many going on to full international honours and some even appearing for the Briitsh Lions (indeed one current student has just come back from South Africa after a successful tour).

At Swansea we look to cater for all standards of player. Our first team competes in the premiership of UK Universities, our fourth team competes against local Universities (still in BUCS - British Universities and Colleges Sport) whereas our Saturday team simply plays against local second teams. We cater for all.

Pre arrival at University it is essential you get an AU Card which allows you to compete for the University and provides you with insurance (there is a link of the suau homepage) and then you need to sign up with the rugby club.

All players are welcome to trial and will then be placed with a team but dont worry, these teams do change and so if you end up in a team too good or not good enough for your ability you will soon be moved accordingly.

Each team plays on Wednesday afternoons against other Universities in various league and cup competitions.

As well as the fixtures there are numerous social events such as the Play On Wednesday nights in Play nightclub, the Welsh Varsity, the Awards Dinner, the Christmas Dinner and the Swansea Bay 7's competition. There is loads to do and loads of people to meet.
